My name is Pam Stevens, the Vocal Director of a choir called The Calne Singers. I started this Choir in 2017, with about a half dozen friends in St Mary’s Church in Calne.

I wanted to get together with like-minded people who felt the same as me, in that they just wanted to make music by SINGING all types and genres of songs. We all enjoy making new friends, being sociable and getting out into the community singing. With no need to be able to read music, no auditions, just a commitment to attend regular rehearsals, and if we were lucky enough to be asked to perform then that would be a bonus!

Thankfully, it has taken off and we now rehearse weekly and regularly perform locally. We raise money for various Charities and take part in numerous community based Musical Activities .

Where We Meet Up
We rehearse every Wednesday in Marden Hall in Calne, this venue has great acoustics thus making our rehearsals - and any performances here - sound fabulous!!
We are always looking for new members to join our Local, Lunchtime, Choir!

Why Sing With Us
Joining a choir is a great way of meeting people, having fun and singing with like-minded people. It is a great way to express your creative side. It increases your endorphins, therefore, reducing stress and giving you a more positive outlook.

Singing also increases the amount of oxygen in your blood, therefore, giving you a physical workout as well as a mental one.
